(More customer reviews)This book explains how to hoist, tack, gybe, and dowse sails, and interprets the muttering and cursing emanating from the back of the boat. It doesn't dwell on sailing theory, navigation, tactics, rights of way, or any of that other confusing stuff. This book is the most single useful aid I have seen for enjoying sailboat racing. I encourage everyone who has ever been confused by contradictory instructions, advice, or exhortations to rush across to Amazon for a copy. I might even get a couple extra for on-board reading.
