(More customer reviews)I was worried the topic was too narrow to buy a whole book. (I don't do a unit on polar regions.) I was happy to find that the book has a lot more to it than that. There are good activities with reproducibles on map skills, science experiments, a science game, poetry, exploration, history and cultures. The card game about animal survival turned out to be a favorite. Kids are interested in polar regions, especially the animals and fascinating facts, so these activities are good motivators.
