That information is not taught in college. I just happened on this book by chance on Amazon. The author presents in clear and concise sentences exactly what the tool or material is used for, its benefits and its limitations. Since there are usually many different ways to do an installation, this book also has the affect of jogging your memory of what things are available and may give you an idea on a better way. If you are just starting as a consulting engineer or work for as an engineer for an A/E firm - this book would be a great reference.
