She's practiced casting in the yard many many times (it comes with a little rubber-like fish for practice and play). She's also taken it with her to fish with Dad. It comes with 3 bobbers. She successfully caught fish with this pole using worm bait and had a great time. This is about the only fishing pole I could find that claims to float. We haven't tested that, but I'm confident that it does. Yes, it's Dora, but there's only one little tiny Dora and one tiny star on the whole thing. Otherwise, it is a nice deep violet color with some green and yellow.
Update: it does float!!
