Natives Along the Wabash by Sheryl Hartman Illustrated by Steve Tucker Published by Lotus Petal Publishing of Nashville, Indiana is an example of what teachers need in their classroom. This long overdue book is full of exciting activities, classroom adventures, biographies, how to lessons, critical thinking activities all based on the real Natives of the Wabash Region. Sheryl takes the reader from ancient settlements along the Wabash and gives life to them and the pages present a new view, fresh and authentic of what life might have been like over a thousand years ago right up to the 21st century. If you have heard of the Miami, Piankeshaw, Shawnee, Potawatomi, and Delaware (Lenape) then take a look at the biographies of these Native people who all inhabited parts of the Wabash region in different times throughout history. This is a must have for teachers to add to their curriculum studies of real Woodland Indians. Natives Along the Wabash
