(More customer reviews)Perfect pole for the smaller adult. Easy to collapse and expand. The speed-lock is a huge improvement over the older locking mechanism. My old poles of another brand had to be replaced because its locking mechanism slipped. This pole has a very comfortable grip but on extended hikes with lots of elevation gains, I add lightweight sports gloves to prevent blisters. The aluminum shaft is extremely durable, unlike the ultra light poles on the market that tend to bend and warp with heavy use. I also like this pole because it doesn't have an anti-shock feature which for me is just another moving part I don't need. This item is brilliant white which makes it easier to find if you accidentally drop it down a slope, or if you're sorting through gear in the backcountry (unless you`re hiking in snow.) Yet I'd prefer a muted color for stealth hiking. The indispensable hikers' aid -- a supply of duct tape wrapped around the shaft -- helps break up the visual.
