I wanted the same convenience of using them on concrete sidewalks and asphalt trails. These rubber walking tips, curved as them are rather than flat, are exactly what I wanted. They provide some shock absorption as well. Senior citizens who have not tried using trekking poles when they take their daily walks really should try them. They just help balance and make walking easier. I can really power walk with these tips on my poles.
