The metal is so soft that when I tried to tap it into the ground the metal expanded and now I can't get the post pieces apart. The net is extremely flimsy and impossible to tighten. I tried to return it to Jaques of London but they didn't respond to either my emails or my telephone calls.

(More customer reviews)I specifically looked for a net that had poles. This is one of the few that had pictures of net and poles. There was no disclaimer stating that poles were not included. For $45 I expected poles. But guess what - no poles! Not too big of a deal but I probably would have bought a cheaper net if I knew poles did not come included with this net. Net looks durable - very heavy for badmitton. Closer to a volleyball net.

(More customer reviews)I've just bought this net and was able to get it for half price from eSportsonline. Shipping took about a week and had no issues. The net is pretty decent considering I only spent about $16 including shipping. With my old net, that came with my set, slams would fly right through the 1 1/4 inch mesh and we could hardly ever tell if the slam cleared the net or not and also the old net was only about 1 1/2 foot wide so we also had times when it was difficult to tell if the birdy was over or under on drop shots and slams. So far, this net has solved both of those problems b/c its 2 1/2 foot wide and 3/4 inch mesh.
I do wonder how long it will last b/c its mesh is pretty thin and its lightweight so the bottom tends to curl up. The lightweight is actually a good thing for me though b/c I have cheap posts that would not be able to handle a pro grade net.
All in all, I'm completely satisfied. I feel like I got what I was expecting, which was a cheap light weight replacement for the tiny net that came with my badminton set.

Six thin, small diameter poles approximately 1/2 inch in diameter, which replaced much heavier 3/4 inch poles I had acquired years ago for less than one half the price. True, these appear to be galvanized and should resist rust, but time will tell.
These poles are a deal at $20 bucks; highway robbery at $50....john

This portable set is terrific: it sets up fast, easily, with excellent net tension. Just devote a little attention to properly extending and clicking the side tabs on the lower support bar first time out, because you likely will be so eager to play when you see the set that you won't notice this very slight detail in assembly. I recommend this product to anyone. Sorry I took so long to discover it but everyone is having a ball playing now in my long driveway.
