Young readers will learn about the processes of how different forms of art are created from paintings to frescoes to statuaries. Of special note are the profuse examples of how different artists in different cultures represent in their work similar subject matter. Superbly and profusely illustrated throughout, there is a timeline provided with respect to changing styles in art down through history such as Chinese art, Impressionism, and more. DK Publishing has one of the best art departments in children's book publishing. This is particularly demonstrated in the pages of their "Children's Book Of Art" which is enthusiastically recommended for family, school, and community library collections.
