(More customer reviews)My friends and I do some heavy weightlifting in another friend's garage. We were running into issues on a hot day with sweat slicking up our hands and making it hard to hold the bar. So we decided we need some chalk, but we didn't want to leave chalk dust all over the garage.
This Eco Ball was *perfect*. It gave us the grip we need, and didn't leave chalk marks all over the floor, equipment, or us. It doesn't even really show up on your hands. The ball is especially useful for keeping the dust under control. I have a feeling that even if I got this kind of chalk outside of the ball form, it would get everywhere.
So, I don't know about rock-climbing, but for weightlifting, this little Eco Ball gets the job done. When we finally use up the one we have, I will definitely be getting another one.
