(More customer reviews)I've had this book for over ten years, and have made several projects from it. It probably is not ideal for those with only basic sewing skills, as the projects describe proportions rather than measurements (so that they can be adapted to any home), but I have had good results. As a book to inspire, it is wonderful. Paine has created beautiful interiors and has many creative ideas for transforming spaces with fabric.

(More customer reviews)This fabulous book stole my heart. I feel so lucky to have a job that allows me to share my love of books with my wonderful students. I do my elementary counseling through children's literature. UNCLE JED'S BARBERSHOP is a book I enjoy reading over and over to kids of all ages. What a marvelous lesson. I think it is important for kids to be reminded of how unfair things were to African Americans many years ago. But the best part of the book reminds us all that if we work hard enough, we can realize our dream. Even after reading this book to six different classes in one day, I still cry my eyes out on the last few pages--the most perfect ending!

WHY CAN'T I SEE WHAT I AM BUYING? WHY IS IS LISTED AS A BOOK INSTEAD OF A POSTER? DOES A BOOK COME WITH THE POSTER YOU CHOOSE? HOW CAN ONE TELL THEY ARE BUYING WHAT THEY WANT IF THEY CANNOT SEE IT? I GUESS I WILL HAVE TI SEE IF THERE IS ANOTHER PLACE WHERE I CAN SEE WHAT I AM BUYING, I HAVE BEEN TO THIS WEB SITE MORE THAN A HUNDRED TIMES HOPING TO BEABLE TO VIEW WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR BEFORE I PURCHASE IT.

(More customer reviews)Straight to the Pole is funny book about a boy with a very active imagination. He's all bundled up for the cold trip to school. As he goes he tells himself things like "I'm doomed" and "Must go on". He's almost ready to give up when he hears his friends in the distance.They tell him some good news! School has been called off due to the snow. Now he's free to go sledding.

The book is a good read for all ages. I liked the illustrations in the book.
I would recommed this book to others. It's a good winter time theme book. It can lead to discussions on weather and snow storms. It only has a few words per page making it easy to share with lots of age groups.
