Fogo Fishing Bow Rod Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had read the reviews for the Rocket Rod - people saying that the hook didn't come out like it should... so I added a weight on my line. It certainly doesn't launch very far, but that's not such a big deal if you're fishing from a good dock or a boat. I was laughed at by the seasoned fisherman as I walked by with my kid's Bow Rod, but they changed their tone when I was pulling in croakers longer than the width of my ice chest. I couldn't believe it caught them either, but I posted a pic of one of them.

There’s no fishing rod like the Bow Rod - It’s a whole new way to fish! Just pull back, aim, and cast over 30 feet! It also lets you cast like a traditional fishing rod, but without the worry of dangerous dangling hooks. The patented Safety Bobber contains your hook and bait while you cast, so there’s no need to handle them. It encloses them as it reels them in, so you’re ready to fish again and again. The Bow Rod is a perfect companion for beginners, or is an excellent way for anyone to add excitement to fishing! There’s no fishing rod like the Bow Rod - It’s a whole new way to fish! Pen Fishing Rod Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'm reading the reviews here and need to inform both shoppers and Amazon that the rod and reels offered here are a cheap Chinese-made knockoff of the original pen fishing rods and reels. The genuine rods are made with titanium fittings and aluminum and don't break under regular or even tough use. Their reels are first class all the way.
The genuine manufacturer is Penfishingrods dot com and they DO NOT sell through third parties - only direct.

A remarkable portable fishing rod that fits in a coat pocket! It's not "full-size", but the miniaturised reel is fully functional for right or left-handed use. For storage, the reel detaches, and the aluminium alloy rod collapses, the fiberglass guides retract inside the handle. Comes with 5-lb test line and a spinner hook.

Ronco Pocket Fisherman - 665860051984 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought the Pocket Fisherman for pickeral fishing on Lake of the Woods in Ontario. Fit and finish was good. I followed the directions and it worked well. Casted not too bad. We caught 9 walleyes total; three by the RONCO. My main beef about this rig is that it is very difficult telling when a fish is on the line. My guess is that the rod is so short and stiff that it does not transmit the movement of the fish on the line very well to the fisherman's hand. eg, I felt a tug on the line and it felt like I was reeling in a dead load of seaweed, no fight at all. When I got the "seaweed" to the side of the boat, I was amazed to see a twelve inch walleye. I think perhaps there are better telescoping rods on the market. I give this product two stars **

Shakespeare® Telescoping Spinning Rod Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My wife and I use "telescopic rods" for fishing out of our kayaks. This rod collapses to a good managable size, and is only 4'6" extended (perfect for our use). The problem is this item is described as having "stainless steel guides with smooth ceramic inserts"! It absolutely does not have inserts, ceramic or otherwise!! This was one of the main reasons for buyingShakespeare® Telescoping Spinning Rod this rod over Eagle Claw's "Pack it". Very disapointing as this was bought for specific trip; too late to get something else.

FOGO Generation II Rocket Fishing Rod Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This product says it's for 8 year olds & up, but it was very cumbersome & difficult to use. Pressing the safety button & reel cover simultaneously was tricky, especially for small hands. I'd give it 0 stars, except for the excitement of (finally) getting the bobber to shoot out. After that, the thrill was over - no fish for the Rocket, even though kids with traditional rods were catching fish left & right.
