(More customer reviews)Century has an improved regulator which provides constant light output in cold weather or when the cylinder gets low on fuel. The 7215 model puts out more light than my Coleman 2-mantle propane and gasoline lanterns. It is compatible with an extension pole which allows you to use 20-pound (5-gallon) tanks. The extension pole also has two other outlets so I can have a hot plate and heater operating at the same time. The hard case is also superior to Coleman soft cases.

(More customer reviews)This distribution tree is the best I could find after looking all over the web and in local stores. It makes a FIRM connection to the tank, not relying upon the threaded gas tank connector to help hold the tree in place. And the two piece break down is really handy, both for storage and if you don't need all the height. I have used it and it is really stable.
To help with tank stability, I recommend getting a 'Tank Stand' or base, a plastic ring that the 20# tank slips firmly into. Got mine at local UHaul for $6.95, cheaper than or same as any prices on web. Camping World has them for a couple bucks more + shipping. But the stability is great!

Coleman 30-Inch Propane Distribution Tree Review

(More customer reviews)Our family goes camping about once a month and we found we were going through a lot of those little Coleman propane canisters between our stove and lantern. We have a big propane grill at the house so it seemed logical to use that same bulk canister to power our camping appliances. Very simple to use. My only complaint would be the length. If it was another 24" taller it would get the lantern up higher to illuminate more of the campsite. Otherwise, works as advertised.

(More customer reviews)This is a well built piece of equipment. All brass and powder coated. The screws that adjust to fit the tank could be a little more substantial, but are functional.
I use the post with a Coleman Northstar lantern and it will light up a 20' diameter well enough to read by. I can also attached my camp stove with 3 30,000 BTU burners. With lantern and all burners on full there is no noticeable degradation in performance.
The break down is easy and everything stores in a nylon bag. One thing on the break down, a fair amount of fuel is stored in the tube during operation. Enough fuel to run my lantern at full for five minutes or one burner for two. I recommend burning the fuel off after you shutoff the tank.
If your stove attaches directly to the propane tank you'll need an adaptor not included with the product to use the post and stove at the same time. The adaptor is often called a "steak saver", it has the Type 1 ACME threads on one side for your regulator and the side has threads for those 1 lb throwaway canisters. I knocked off a star because the manufacture did not include nor mention the need for this adaptor.
