Battery Operated Navigation Lights L.E.D. LED Bow Light Wht F/ Inlfat W/ Pad Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This unit lasted less than 10 months. It was used only around fresh water and for well less than 50 hours total. My old bow light from KMart eats up the D cells but at least it is still working after 6 years.

Rio Sports Sun Shelter Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)Considered this tent vs ABO Gear Instent. Decided to try the Rio because of low price, SPF50 and lightweight. Instent costs ~2x, weights about 2x, and is only SPF35. Although I would have liked the Instent's fuller coverage and easy set up feature, I didn't want its extra weight since I was going to use it on beach trips and wanted to cut down on weight I had to carry in/out.
Took this to NJ shore beaches. Set up was relatively straightforward. Two shorter and one longer tent poles. Longer one goes across the long axis (side to side). Shorter ones go vertically along two back spines. If you work with the wind, the tent will spread out and help you thread the poles through. If you are not familiar, practice once first.
Once the poles are in place, you need to put the stakes in. Also tie the nylon ties at the pole junctions for additional stability. You definitely need to use the four metal stakes in sand or grass in any kind of wind because the structure is light as a kite. In calm to moderate draft, it stands relatively well. But in an occasional to sustained gusty wind, typical at many beaches on a nice breezy summer day, the wind blowing from behind could buckle the poles and temporarily collapse the dome, which is not dangerous but annoying. The stakes did a good job holding down the tent (make sure you drive the stakes into the ground at an angle). I would not recommend facing the opening into the wind. Also even without the wind, sitting on a beach chair inside the dome, your head may rub the tent, depending on how deep inside you sit, because of the low dome shape. Not the worst thing but can be annoying sometimes.
Sun coverage depends on the angle of the sun and the direction it's facing. Because it is basically a half dome, you need to consider the combination of wind direction and sun's angle to see if you should even use it on any particular day. If the wind is blowing towards the sun then it's pretty much useless. If both sun and wind are from the same direction, then it's probably worth using. In between, you'll have to gauge.
My 3 yo son enjoyed playing around it, putting sand inside on the floor and in the two inside pockets and windows. But then kids will enjoy playing with almost any kind of tent structure. Don't expect mobile kids to stay put inside. This, and other tents like it, are best for babies and nursing mothers and people who want partial shade and wind break.
Material (nylon) feels a bit thin and the seams are single stitched so I expect them to rip after a while. Not for rugged use. The carrying bag/stuff sack will likely burst after a while unless you compress the tent and roll it tightly in a neat package. I can see the threads in the bag's seam as it is being stuffed.
But for ~$30-35, it's not a bad deal, as long as you don't have strong or kite-flying wind. Overall, I like it for its light weight and SPF50 and reasonable cost.

Coleman SunDome Three to Four-Person 9-Foot by 7-Foot Dome Tent (Blue/White) Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I've owned this tent for about six years now. It's easy to set up, requiring only about ten minutes from roll out to the final stake, and stands up admirably to wind and rain. This is not a long term or extreme weather tent. It is designed for light use in mild weather.
I'd recommend sealing the seams around the bottom of the entryway, as a driving rain causes some minor leakage in that area, and I noticed a very small wear hole near the right front bottom clasp the last time I set it up. A quick seam-seal over the hole fixed the problem.
The first thing I noticed about the tent when I took it out of the box was that the tub of the tent is sturdy, but not heavy-duty. Extend the life of the floor by laying down a tarp underneath the tent before erecting it. I've done this since day one, and the tub still looks new, without a single rip or wear spot.
Overall a very good tent for the money if you're looking for a good, dependable weekender.

Roomy enough for mom, dad, and a couple of kids, the Coleman Sundome tent sleeps up to four people at a time in complete comfort. The Sundome is outfitted with Coleman's exclusive WeatherTec system, a series of technical features intended to protect you from inclement weather and nasty storms. WeatherTec tents are built with a coated polyester fabric combined with anti-wicking thread, webbing, and zippers, all designed to keep you dry when the rain comes down. The tent's welded waterproof floor and inverted floor seams, meanwhile, dramatically increase the water resistance by hiding the needle holes inside the tent and away from the elements. And in addition to offering fully taped rainfly seams, the included rainfly covers the doors and windows tightly and incorporates easy-to-use Velcro frame attachments. In fact, Coleman is so confident in its WeatherTec system that it exposes its WeatherTec tents to a rain room that simulates nasty downpours, and to a wind machine capable of blowing hurricane force gusts. The results? Even after the tests, Coleman guarantees its WeatherTec tents will keep you dry.
The Sundome's interior is moderately spacious, with a base that measures 9 feet by 7 feet and a center height of 59 inches. In addition, the tent is engineered to keep you cool thanks to the adjustable Variflo ventilation and vented Cool-Air port. Best of all for travel-weary campers, the Sundome sets up quickly, with two shock-corded steel poles, continuous pole sleeves, a pin-and-ring design, and InstaClip attachments. The tent even comes with easy-to-follow instructions sewn into the durable carrying bag. Other features include a single door, a privacy vent window, an interior gear pocket, an electrical access port, and separate bags for the poles and stakes.

About Coleman More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.
Gared Sports Mongoose Wireless Indoor Outdoor Volleyball Net System Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)Easy to install and works as advertised. I was a bit skeptical about the sturdiness of the vollyball posts (no guy wires and no digging holes with cement) but once you insert the ground plate into the ground (with a 10" spike welded to the plate) and then drive the 24" aluminum spike through the plate's collar, the posts become extremely solid. The net was easy to put up and overall installation was about 15 minutes. Make sure you set up the rope perimeter first!!! This will allow for minor adjustments before you start driving the spikes. Also, the rope perimeter provides the correct distance for width of net (plates are to be installed 20" in from rope perimeter.
Some concerns:
The instructions for installation are poor. There is a metal piece that fits over the 24" aluminum spike that is used while driving the spikes into the ground. I found this out afterwards.
The directions call for a large hammer -- Better to use a sledge!!! Also, make sure you don't drive the stake even with the plate's collar. The picture is not really clear but the stake should remain about 1" above the collar.
Overall -- the design and quality far exceed the poor directions. We have been using the vollyball system for about 3 weeks and love it!!! 5 stars to no guy wires!!!

VENT-SOL-AIR Solar-Powered Ventilating Fan For Boat Covers Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I have owned several boats over the years, all with covers. The primary issue with boat covers is trapping humidity and heat which leads to mildew and destroys vinyl. I purchased one of these units several years ago for my previous boat and recently for a new pontoon boat. These fans work well in providing ventilation for the cover and I am always amazed at how they can reduced the temperature under the cover They are very easy to install - if you already have vents in your cover, it is a 5 minute install. I have recommended this item to several persons with pontoon boats with full covers and they really like them. My only recommendation is that if the boat is greater than 20' in length, you will probably want two for increased airflow.

Miniature Pool Balls for Mini Pool Tables Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The balls are smaller than we expected, much smaller. My 10 year old nefew is unable to hit the cue ball due to its small size so uses a more mid-size ball that we got in a partial set that we got with our table. He would rate the set at a 1 as he is disappointed in how truely tiny the set is. We have a kid pool table that is about 2 1/2 foot by 5 foot table and the balls are not appropriate for this size table at all. We assume they may have been intended for a small table top pool table but are not sure. Fed Ex delivered the package to the wrong house, we had corrected the address with them and the company .. the company requested the address change after we personally did yet fed ex did not change it as they assured both us and the company they would. Not interested in using fed ex for any shipments in the future due to this. We don't hold this any of this against the company, they do give the dimention of 1 1/8 inch, we just misinterpreted how they got the measurement and were shocked the balls are barely comparible in size to a quarter.

Paha Que 12 x 12 Screen Room Review

(More customer reviews)We have owned two Eureka Screen Rooms, and friends have the latest Eureka Northern Breeze. This beats them all hands down. The attention to detail (straps to help pack the rolled up room, extra reinforcements at every stress point, a built in bag for the stakes, sewn-in instructions) and the quality of construction are exceptional. It definitely takes two people to set it up, but this is worth the price.

About Paha Qué Paha Qué Wilderness Inc. is a young and innovative company that makes high-quality family camping tents. Campers love them, but when they first see the name in print, they pause and wonder just how to pronounce it and try to understand its meaning. You won't find it in any dictionary and there have been debates amongst linguists about its derivation. According to the legend behind the term, Paha Qué is the Southwest Indian version of "Aloha." Paha Qué takes it to mean "happy trails." It can mean hello, good-bye, how are you, have a good day, and more. Perhaps a variation on the Spanish phrase Qué Pasa? The people at Paha Qué learned it from a local rancher friend whose grandpa learned it from local Indians. It boils down to the fact that the name is surely different, and appropriately so because these tents are very different from ordinary tents.

Coleman 2-Room Durango Tent (15-Feet x 10-Feet) Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)When I ordered this tent, I was a little worried about it's size - 10'X15' seemed so big that I was afraid it wouldn't really feel like camping. But for better or worse, the tent isn't that big - it's not a square, and I think they measure the widest and deepest parts, which isn't representative of the overall size. In terms of usable space, it's probably about 8.5'X13', big enough for 2 queen mattresses with about a foot between and along either wall and 2 feet from the front wall to the mattresses (if you push the mattresses all the way against the back wall).
This tent is easy to set up and take down - one person can definitely do it. That said, the instructions are bad, and the pictures on the instructions are useless, so I'd keep the box the tent comes in, you'll be glad to have the pictures to help figure the tent out. Unless you're used to this kind of tent, I suggest setting it up at least once before your camping trip since there is a little trial and error involved.
The biggest problem with this tent is ventilation - the tent itself, starting about 2 feet up the walls, is entirely mesh, so if you want any privacy at all, you have to put on the rain cover, but it has no windows, so the only ventilation is the door (only half of it is mesh) and a very small hole in the side that is used to slide coolers in and out. There's no way to get much breeze, and no crossflow. If you camp in hot areas, I wouldn't get this tent.
Also, the tent isn't really 2 rooms - it comes with a very thin nylon divider (about the thickness of a bed sheet) that hangs down the middle of the tent from front to back (right in the middle of the door). It hangs with cords through loops, so there's about a 6 inch gap all around the divider - it prevents most visibility between the 2 "rooms", but that's it. Also, the people in the left "room" have to go into the right "rooom" to use the door of the tent.
The stakes that it comes with a CHEAP. Plan to take some good ones with you if you're going anywhere at all rocky.
The overhead storage is nice and convenient, but I don't think it'd hold a lot of weight.
Overall a good tent for a family.

The Coleman 15-by-10-foot Durango tent sleeps up to eight people comfortably, making it a terrific tent for family camping trips. The tent boasts 126 square feet of floor space and a center height of 77 inches, giving you enough space for the whole gang and their gear. Users will also dig the included divider, which separates the tent into two separate rooms--a must for those who value their privacy. Perhaps the most important feature, however, is Coleman's exclusive WeatherTec protection system, which keeps the Durango dry in even the soggiest weather (guaranteed!). The system is built using weather-resistant fabric, with anti-wicking thread, webbing, and zippers that keep moisture away, a zipper cuff for further protection, and protected, leak-free inverted floor seams that dramatically increase weather resistance by hiding the needle holes inside the tent and away from the elements. Coleman's elite welding technology, meanwhile, helps keep the floors strong and waterproof.Add in Coleman's Wind Strong Frame, which is engineered to be stronger and more wind-responsive than most other frames, and you have an ideal tent for inclement weather conditions.
Other details include redesigned 11 mm and 9.5 mm shock-corded fiberglass poles; guy- out triangles for firm anchoring and high performance; a rainfly for the doors and windows; a welcome mat; mesh vents for increased ventilation and comfort; and two inside pockets for added storage. The Durango tent comes with a five-year limited warranty.
About Coleman The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.
Amazon.com Tent Guide Selecting a Tent Fortunately, there are all kinds of tents for weekend car campers, Everest expeditions, and everything in-between. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Expect the Worst In general, it's wise to choose a tent that's designed to withstand the worst possible conditions you think you'll face. For instance, if you're a summer car camper in a region where weather is predictable, an inexpensive family or all purpose tent will likely do the trick--especially if a vehicle is nearby and you can make a mad dash for safety when bad weather swoops in! If you're a backpacker, alpine climber or bike explorer, or if you like to car camp in all seasons, you'll want to take something designed to handle more adversity.
Three- and Four-Season Tents For summer, early fall and late spring outings, choose a three-season tent. At minimum, a quality three season tent will have lightweight aluminum poles, a reinforced floor, durable stitching, and a quality rain-fly. Some three-season tents offer more open-air netting and are more specifically designed for summer backpacking and other activities. Many premium tents will feature pre-sealed, taped seams and a silicone-impregnated rain-fly for enhanced waterproofness.
For winter camping or alpine travel, go with a four season model. Because they typically feature more durable fabric coatings, as well as more poles, four-season tents are designed to handle heavy snowfall and high winds without collapsing. Of course, four-season tents exact a weight penalty of about 10 to 20 percent in trade for their strength and durability. They also tend to be more expensive.
Domes and Tunnels Tents are broadly categorized into two types, freestanding, which can stand up on their own, and those that must be staked down in order to stand upright. Freestanding tents often incorporate a dome-shaped design, and most four-season tents are constructed this way because a dome leaves no flat spots on the outer surface where snow can collect. Domes are also inherently stronger than any other design. Meanwhile, many three-season models employ a modified dome configuration called a tunnel. These are still freestanding, but they require fewer poles than a dome, use less fabric, and typically have a rectangular floor-plan that offers less storage space than a dome configuration. Many one and two-person tents are not freestanding, but they make up for it by being more lightweight. Because they use fewer poles, they can also be quicker to set up than a dome.
Size Matters Ask yourself how many people you'd like to fit in your fabric hotel now and in the future. For soloists and minimalists, check out one-person tents. If you're a mega-minimalist, or if you have your eye on doing some big wall climbs, a waterproof-breathable bivy sack is the ticket. Some bivy sacks feature poles and stake points to give you a little more breathing room. Also, if you don't need bug protection and you want to save weight, check out open-air shelters.
Families who plan on car camping in good weather can choose from a wide range of jumbo-sized tents that will accommodate all your little ones with room to spare. A wide range of capacities is also available for three- and four-season backpacking and expedition tents. Remember, though, the bigger the tent you buy, the heavier it will be, although it's easy to break up the tent components among several people in your group. It's also helpful to compare the volume and floor-space measurements of models you're considering.

Swiss Gear 2-Room Eight-Person Square Dome Tent Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)When we received the tent, since it was bigger than any tent we had ever owned, we decided to set it up in our yard to test it before our big camping trip the following week. The first thing we noticed was that the poles were super heavy-duty which made them very difficult to bend through the fabric to secure the tent. They were so thick in fact that when we tried to bend the first one, instead of breaking the fiberglass pole, it bent the aluminum connector area and then broke completely through. We tried fixing it with the infamous duct tape and set it up as best we could. We decided to let it stay up overnight to make sure it would be okay, and it's a very good thing we did. In the morning it was flat on the ground. I'm very glad that we made the decision to set it up before taking children on a "fun camping trip" where they would probably have ended up very scared of camping in the future! Now we have a giant tent with no support poles, and another new smaller tent with support poles that work just fine!

(More customer reviews)These baskets are great. They are sturdy, easy to assemble, store and set out in the yard when setting up a course. Our children's families like having a personal course right outside. It is easy to create multiple tee areas and have several holes with just the 2 baskets. We received excellent service and quick shipping as well.

Wenzel Grand Lodge 14- by 12-Foot, 8 Person Cabin Dome Tent Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I love everything about this tent except the rainfly. It does not deflect rain. It collects it. My first tent collapsed under the weight of collected rain in the fly. The steel poles fractured & tore multiple holes through the tent sides. We did have flood conditions in that storm so I let it go to 'the not so normal heavy rains'. I really liked everything else about it so I ordered another one. It is very spacious, has sturdy fabric & can be set up by one person very easily. However, the new tent also endured a thunderstorm & continued to collect rain. The best thing to do in rain is unhook the fly from the fly poles & stake the fly directly to the ground. It has a straight line & works better. Now that I figured that out I love it, but, it was an expensive lesson.

Designed for privacy, this cabin-style, 14-foot x 12-foot two-room dome tent with 86 inches of center head room accommodates eight campers and has a divider curtain to divide the tent into two rooms. Two D-style doors provide separate entries. A welded-polyethylene tub-style floor keeps out ground moisture. The tent is made of rugged, weather-resistant polyester with a polyurethane coating for reliability. A removable fly keeps out rain. Double-stitched, lap-feld seams provide a shingle effect to prevent moisture seepage. A rain-shingle layer on the tent's lower portion provides a watershed effect. Other weather-resistant details include thread, zippers, and webbing treated with water repellents. Six windows and roof are made of polyester mesh. A shockcorded steel frame provides stability and quick set-up. A loft stores gear. The tent has a carry weight of 47.2 pounds and comes with a 10-year warranty against defects.
Wenzel Pinon Sport 7-by 7-Foot Three-Person Dome Tent Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I like this tent more than the other reviewer. I used it for one night with my son, and it worked well. Woke up dry and happy.
It's got about a 4 foot height, so you definitely can't stand up in it, but it is a legit 7 feet by 7 feet. Pretty good size. Haven't seen anything on the market at this price.
Other things I liked:
-Easy to get in and out of (D-style door is a plus)
-Fiberglass poles and overall easy set-up.
I forgot...I did use a seam sealer for all the edges of the tent. Worked well.
Still can't believe the price.

Nicely lightweight and easy to set up and breakdown, the sporty Wenzel Pinon dome-style tent is a great choice for a weekend car camping outing. It features a generously sized single room that measures 7 by 7 feet--great for storing lots of gear--and a 50-inch maximum height. In addition to the good-sized D-style door (with a mesh window covering half of it), this tent also includes a window on the back for cross-current ventilation. The interior is quite spare, with only a small gear pocket in one corner near the door.
Setting up the tent was easy, for the most part, and we erected the tent (with its two shock-corded fiberglass poles) in under five minutes. The one impediment to an even faster assembly was the heavy-duty nylon corner pockets that secure the poles, which included a polyester-reinforced interior flap that's not seamed at the top of the entry. Thus, we had a tougher time than we should have trying to make correct purchase with the pocket, continually hitting the space between the nylon pocket and the interior poly pocket.
But we could forgive this slight design flaw for such a nicely light and easily backpacked tent. This tent also includes a fly that offers a good coverage area, including a bit of an extended cover over the door and back window. While we didn't have rain during our testing, we did use a sprinkler for an extended period, and were pleased to note that the fly ably handled the water run off, guiding it away from the bottom of the tent. To improve this tent's weather resistance, it's recommended that you use seam sealer to coat all exposed seams, applying only to the underside of the fly and inside the seams of the tent.
Overall, the Wenzel Pinon is a good choice for car campers and for the occasional hiked excursion. While it won't stand up to the worst that Mother Nature can throw your way, it should handle a decent amount of rain. And its ample 49 square foot interior will hold two good-sized adults and a good amount of gear. --Agen G.N. Schmitz
