(More customer reviews)I purchased this light to use on an extended canoe trip (2 weeks)with my sons. The light is plenty bright for what we need and it barely "sips" at the battery. I tested it for voltage drain and used batteries that were already too dead to run anything else (.9 - 1.15 volts remaining). Eight hours later the light was still going strong and voltage had dropped in each AA battery (4 needed) by approximately .01 (that's 1/100) volt per hour of use! At this rate, one set of AA batteries will last the whole trip. This appears to be a sturdy little unit that will be a handy addition to our excursion!
